A: It depends on the running boards. We designed this tie-down to work with factory-installed extended running boards (Super-Duty Version) from the assembly line. These running boards come down far enough and allow clearance for the truck camper tie down. There have been some cases where the customer ordered factory-installed extended running boards and received the F150 extended running boards which sit up a little higher than the Super-Duty version. The Super-Duty version can be identified by the Super-Duty branding. The reason Ford did this is because the F150 and the Super-Duty share the same cab but have different frames. If you do not have the proper running board, you will have to remove the running board or shorten the rear extended section of the running board.
